2004 – Lalbahadur Shastri Commemorative Coin Set

Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri was the Second Prime Minister of India. He is still remembered for the popular slogan – Jai Jawan Jai Kissan. Under his able leadership, India won the war against Pakistan which resulted in the Tashkent agreement. Unfortunately, he passed away the very next day in Tashkent. To commemorate his services to the nation, Indian Prime minister Manmohan Singh released a coin set on October 4th, 2005 minted by the IG Mint Kolkata with details as follows,
